Mr. Crylen’s twenty-seven year career has involved domestic and international commercial real estate. His experience consists of acquisition, development, financing/credit, leasing, strategic planning and consulting, operations and facilities management of a wide variety of property owned either privately, by large institutions, or government entities. After matriculating at Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Finance and Real Estate, he joined the Chicago-based John Buck Company in 1987. Highlighting his twelve years with John Buck, Mr. Crylen was responsible for the completion and commencement of operations for Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the world’s tallest building. In addition, he directed the development and commissioning of nearly 8 million square feet of mixed-use projects in the United States. As Senior Vice President of Equity International Properties, Ltd. (‘EIP’) a $368 million private equity fund established by Sam Zell investing in real estate businesses outside the U.S. Mr. Crylen served on the board of several EIP portfolio companies. Duke Realty Corporation hired him to lead its St. Louis Business Unit in 2004 where he directed management and development expansion of Duke’s 7.6-million-squarefoot greater St. Louis office and industrial portfolio. He also directed Duke’s strategic land, build-to-suit and acquisition strategy in St. Louis.
